The Goodfellow varsity basketball team had a very productive weekend, taking two out of three games at Mathis Fitness Center here and at Randolph Air Force Base, Nov. 20-22.
The Hawks opened their weekend play Nov. 20 with their first home game of the season, a last-minute make-up game against Dyess AFB. The Hawks took a 14-point lead at the half and never looked back as the Hawks cruised to an 87- 67 victory. The Hawks had five players in double figures in the game, led by Christopher Warren's 16 points. Corey Pasley, Mike Thompson, and Aaron Dawkins dropped in 12 points each and Moe Dawkins scored 10.

After vanquishing their Dyess opponents, Hawks had a quick turn around and traveled to San Antonio Saturday morning to face the Randolph AFB Ro-Hawks for the first of a two-game series.

In the first game, Tim Harris's 18 points helped the Hawks keep the game close, but Goodfellow wound up on the short end of a 70-62 loss. Goodfellow's Sharad White added 11 points, while Dawkins and Warren contributed 10 points each.

The series finale was also close. Harris banged in another 18 points as Goodfellow trailed by two points at halftime. Harris and the Hawks kept up the pressure in the second half as the Goodfellow overwhelmed the Ro-Hawks and grabbed an 83-76 victory.

Harris led the Hawks in scoring with a season-high 29 points, while Warren and Thompson and added 13 points apiece and Dawkins chipped in 10 more.
The Hawks travel to Abilene next week to face Dyess AFB.
