Angela Santos, 311th Training Squadron, Arabic language Instructor during the newly established Defense Language Institute 56’s first “Take Charge of Your Career Now” brief. This was the first briefing conducted by the DLI 56 which is a newly established unit advisory committee similar to Goodfellow’s 56 Council Executive Committee. DLI 56 plans to offer these briefings quarterly to non-prior service Airmen to prepare them for a career in the Air Force. Topics discussed include volunteerism, unit participation, Below-the-Zone selection process, academic awards, CLEPS/DANTES, etc. The DLI 56 hopes these briefings will assist not only the military training leaders and their direct supervisors, but also provide the Airmen with a solid foundation for what’s expected of them when they progress in their career(s).(U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
