Seven teams kick off Intramural soccer season Published Oct. 16, 2009 By Johnny Bustos 17th Force Support Squadron GOODFELLOW AFB, Texas -- Both 315th Training Squadron intramural soccer teams notched opening season wins last week as intramural soccer season kicked off at Mathis Soccer Field here Oct. 8. In all, seven teams signed up to play in the season, which is scheduled to last until Nov. 17. In opening day matches, Army outscored Navy/Marines 4-1 and the 315 TRS Rattlers thrashed the 17th Mission Support Group Junk Yard Dawgs 7-0. The Dawgs bounced back to tie the Navy/ Marines 2-2, while the 315 TRS Sidewinders blanked the 17th Training Support Squadron Tigers. Monday's matches pit Army versus the 17 TRSS at 6 p.m., followed by an all-315 TRS showdown between the Sidewinders and Rattlers at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Navy/Marines square off against the 316 TRS Sharks and the Tigers will try to tame the Junk Yard Dawgs. Matches are played at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays each week.
