Major General Craig Koziol, Air Force Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency commander, spent the day with the Airmen of the Presidio of Monterey, Calif., on Aug. 28. General Koziol received unit mission briefs from the 311th Training Squadron, 314th Training Squadron and the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. The general had the opportunity to visit Airmen in class, observe first-hand cutting edge language training technology, and had breakfast with a group of select students. General Koziol addressed the weekly squadron formation providing words of encouragement and insight into the operational environment the Airmen will soon be immersed in. At the formation, Maj Gen Koziol presented Chief Master Sergeant Crystle Flowers with his commander’s coin. As first sergeant for the 311 TRS, Chief Flowers has been instrumental in developing the next-generation of Airmen linguists at what was, until June 30, the largest squadron in the Air Force with an average of more than 1,600 Airmen assigned monthly.
