E-6, E-7 promotion lists released Published June 27, 2008 17th Training Wing GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Air Force officials selected 5,404 of 24,223 eligible technical sergeants for promotion to master sergeant, and 7,110 of 38,324 eligible staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant in a list released yesterday. The master sergeant selection rate, 22.31 percent, decreased 2.58 percent from last year, while the technical sergeant selection rate, 18.55 percent, increased .17 percent from 2007. An orientation for all new Goodfellow master sergeants will be held August 4 - 6 at the Event Center. Times are still being determined. The seminar will end with a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Induction ceremony August 7, 6 p.m. at the Event Center. Dress will be Semi-formal/Mess Dress. More information to come.
