Goodfellow CGO wins accolades at AETC Published May 18, 2008 By Senior Airman Stephen Musal 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A Goodfellow Airman recently won accolades at the major-command level during the annual AETC Technical Training Awards. Capt. Jeffrey Johnston, the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operations Course chief with the 315th Training Squadron, was recognized as Air Education and Training Command Technical Training Officer of the Year for 2007. Captain Johnston's many accomplishments include rewriting the training standard for the ISR Operations Course, briefing high-ranking visitors to Goodfellow on the training mission and working as a director at Goodfellow for the United States Air Force Academy's Operations Air Force program That program offered 30 cadets their first look at an operational Air Force base's mission. "Captain Johnston is a phenomenal officer and instructor," said Lt. Col. Thomas Hensley, 315 TRS commander. "His visionary leadership has made a tremendous impact on ISR training and employment for the entire DOD, and I am simply honored to be his commander."
