On Saturday, more than 150 children converged on the Events Center for a day of fun and games: the Goodfellow Children's Festival in honor of the Month of the Military Child.

Activities included games by the Airman and Family Readiness Flight, Sparky the fire dog and McGruff the crime dog, a military working dog demonstration and fingerprinting by the 17th Security Forces Squadron, plaster handprints by the Family Child Care Center, a pet parade by the Veterinary Clinic, the ever-popular squadron bed races and other arts, crafts and activities.

According to Cindy Padilla, the director of the Child Development Center, the purpose of the festival was to have an event which base personnel could attend and enjoy, whether they are single or come with their families.

Ms. Padilla added that she'd like to thank all the volunteers who made the event a success.

"Thank you so much, all of you wonderful people!" she said.
