Despite the cold weather this past Friday, it turned out to be a "fair" day at Crockett Elementary. More than 120 students ranging from grades Kindergarten-6 presented their science projects during the Annual Crockett Elementary Science Fair.

Members of the 316th Training Squadron assisted in judging students' presentations based on originality, creativity, and most importantly, their hypothesis and support.

Projects ranged from erupting volcanoes, to electrified glowing pickles, and even a full-scale working hovercraft. Kindergarten through second grade projects were judged separately with each student receiving a blue or red ribbon for their efforts. All students who participated received a white ribbon.

Shirley Oliphant, a Crockett Elementary science teacher, said "(the) men and women from Goodfellow were excellent judges, and we really appreciate their great attitude and their help. Thanks to their help, we finished judging in record time!"
