The New Year's resolution beginnings can be traced back to various origins. One origin comes from the Babylonians who made a promise to the gods to pay debts and return borrowed objects at the start of the year. Another origin comes from medieval knights, who after the Christmas season would retake the peacock vow to re-affirm their chivalry commitment.

This year, the 17th Public Affairs office searched Goodfellow for several New Year's resolutions.
