The show featured more than 100 vehicles divided into different years and modified or stock groups. Some participants entered the show to socialize with other enthusiasts and look at cars, while others came to win. "I came out to participate because I have a nice car that I like to compete with," said Airman 1st Class Dillon M. Duermyer, 17th Medical Support Squadron medical records technician. "My car has a unique paint job and I feel like I have a good shot of winning." Col. Kimberlee P. Joos, 17th Training Wing Commander, selected a special winner for the event and although Duermyer did not win Joos' Commander's Choice award, he did place within the top three for his category. Joos selected car show competitors Larry and Carolyn Watlington's 1954 Ford F-100 for this year's Commander's Choice award. Harry F. Gilbert, recreation camp director, also chose car show competitor Thomas Rose's 1940 Ford Coupe for the Director's Choice award.
