GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Retired Air Force Col. Donald R. Spoon and Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Thomas Walsh, Vietnam War veterans, visit with Col. Terry J. Hamrick Jr., 17th Training Wing Vice Commander, at the Norma Brown Building Sept. 2. Spoon and Walsh also attended an officer training course session where they participated in a Q-and-A on their experiences. Spoon flew approximately 40 missions in Vietnam, before being shot down and captured. He was a prisoner of war for six years.
