Jared Whitecar 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 2014 Military Workplace Study hits email inboxes Aug. 13 to Sept. 30 and aims to survey approximately 580,000 Defense Department service members. The DOD-hosted survey hopes to better understand dynamics in the military workplace and looks to explore service members' recent experiences in the work environment, including cultural and personal interactions, professionalism, personal safety and more. This voluntary survey is reviewed at the highest levels of leadership to include the president of the United States and provides Airmen the opportunity to voice viewpoints while maintaining confidentiality. Officials will not release information about who participated in the study or link individual responses on this survey with names or identities. Selected members are highly encouraged to participate and can complete the survey on government computers during working hours or off-duty on their smart phones and home computers. Data provided will help evaluate current military workplace environments and culture, geared in making positive changes for all.
