It's a Good Time to be an Airman Published May 2, 2014 By Staff Sgt. Austin Knox 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Chief Master Sgt. Thomas F. Good, 17th Training Wing Command Chief, held a Total Force Airmen Development Forum at the Consolidated Learning Center here April 21. The forum was open to all enlisted personnel, officers and civilians giving them a chance to ask the chief questions, with an emphasis on Airmen development. Good answered questions concerning the future of fewer deployments, new performance reports, modern communication and responsible leadership in today's Air Force, while providing all-around motivational insight. "You are the change agents; this is your Air Force," said Chief Good. "You have to decide what it is that you are going to be." Attendees felt they were able to take something away from the forum. "I thought the forum was very beneficial and engaging," said 1st Lt. Frederick W. Freeman, 17th Comptroller Squadron deputy budget officer. "Chief Good was very motivational and gave very honest and direct responses. I was challenged to be more involved in the lives of the people I lead." Before the forum ended, Good left the audience with some words of advice he calls AAH. "Be Accountable. Be Approachable. Be Humble," said Good. The plan is to hold more Total Force Airmen Development Forums in the future.
