Goodfellow leadership served retirees, base personnel and students who spent their Thanksgiving holiday away from home. "Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, give back to the community and the students," said Lt. Col. Edward Blitt, 17th Training Group Deputy Commander. "I really enjoy being able to serve the students on Thanksgiving, it enables me to show my appreciation for the students and help them celebrate Thanksgiving, especially since this is the first Thanksgiving away from home for a lot of the students." Goodfellow leadership served Team Goodfellow members a meal filled with turkey, roast beef, honey baked ham and an assortment of sides. "I thought they had a good variety of food there," said Airman 1st Class Cody Kendall, 316th Training Squadron student. "The commanders were really polite. I thought the whole experience was cool." The serving of Thanksgiving meals by leadership is a long time annual tradition held across bases everywhere in effort to boost morale for those away from home.
