Goodfellow kicks-off Combined Federal Campaign Published Sept. 9, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Joshua Edwards 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Team Goodfellow members met at the Event Center Sept. 5 to celebrate the Sept. 1 start date of the Combined Federal Campaign. The CFC is one of the major donation programs the Air Force supports each year. "I can't wait to donate," said Airman 1st Class Jared Lunstad, 17th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management specialist and CFC unit representative. "My goal this year is to try and raise $5,000 within my unit and to help with a fund raising event." At the celebration, Col. Kimberlee Joos, 17th Training Wing Commander, spoke about her expectation of the campaign. "Our goal, as always, is 100 percent contact. We want to give every federal employee here at Goodfellow the opportunity to give if they choose to," said Col. Joos. Col. Joos ended the event by ceremoniously cutting a CFC cake, which Goodfellow leadership and CFC representatives shared to conclude the event.
