Wing leadership visit SAISD convocation Published Aug. 26, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Joshua Edwards 17th Training Wing Public Affairs SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Goodfellow leadership attended the San Angelo Independent School District convocation at the Foster Communications Coliseum Aug. 22. The SAISD event celebrates of the beginning of a new school year starting. The convocation featured band, choir and orchestra members from Central and Lake View High Schools playing the national anthem and "The Armed Forces Medley." Key notes speaker former astronaut Mike Mullane spoke of about his experiences in space and the importance of teamwork. "I think pretty ordinary people on pretty ordinary teams can do extraordinary things when they set the bar and are doggedly tenacious," said Mullane. After the convocation, Mullane met with Goodfellow commanders and senior enlisted advisors from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force.
