Upcoming dining facility changes Published May 18, 2015 17th Force Support Squadron GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Team Goodfellow will begin to see changes in 17th Force Support Squadron food service operations starting June 1, as the base implements Air Force changes to better serve the dining needs of today's Airmen. The Air Force is reinvigorating dining by updating the legacy food service model with a modern concept that offers more grab-n-go options, healthy food choices and an open food line for easier access. As part of the transition, the Cressman Dining Facility will be closed starting June 1 for interior renovations. All meals will be served at the Western Winds Dining Facility during the closure. 17th FSS personnel have been working closely with the 17th Training Group and Air Force Services to develop a temporary feeding solution to ensure a smooth flow during meal times. Besides the food lines inside Western Winds, Airmen can choose grab-n-go food items from a food trailer directly outside the facility. Once complete, customers using the Cressman will experience new placement of food stations and cashiers to lessen the time spent in lines. The Cressman renovations are projected for completion in the fall of 2015.
