Comment boxes are located at various locations on base for the purpose of empowering Airmen to provide anonymous feedback encouraging an environment of innovation, agility and professionalism.

The wing’s mission, and that of its personnel, revolves around developing professionals to protect America.

“Americans expect us to prevent any threats from reaching our shores and to preserve the American way of life,” said Col. Michael L. Downs, 17th TRW Commander. “In the end, our job is very simple … to win. To always win, our nation counts on us to be a championship team, which requires robust communication, innovation to ensure we're constantly improving and dedication to our mission and each other."

Downs added, “To be a championship team, I want to ensure Airmen know that the lines of communication are open. I know we have innovative personnel at all levels. If there is a way to improve our processes, I want to know about it. We need winning ideas to align with the wing’s priorities.”

The 17th Training Wing’s priorities include:
- Enhancing mission effectiveness
- Supporting Airmen and their families
- Ensuring a climate of professionalism and mutual respect
- Fostering resiliency
- Promoting strategic communications and partnerships.

Another anonymous feedback avenue to look for is through survey links provided by unit public affairs representatives and the 17th Training Wing Facebook page.
