Team Goodfellow gathered to celebrate the different cultures members of the base represent during the Multicultural Day near the Western Winds Dining Facility Oct. 19.

The event brought together participants and volunteers from its students, permanent party and International Military Officers population.

"This is a great opportunity for you to walk around and learn a little something about the countries represented here," said Col. Michael L. Downs, 17th Training Wing Commander. "Many of the countries represented here today are places you may be going to deploy."

During the function, personnel could try food samples, view cultural displays and play games.

"The purpose of this event is to bring a little flavor of all the countries that we represent here," said Jane L. Mickenheim, 17th Force Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center chief.

The gathering also featured a volunteered sponsored fashion show to highlight the other cultures and wrap up the celebration.
