ALS Class 16-E graduates

Congratulations to the Airmen of Class 16-E who graduated from airman leadership school Aug. 18.

ALS is a six-week course designed to prepare senior airmen to assume supervisory duties offering instruction in the practice of leadership and followership, written and oral communicative skills and the profession of arms. Students gain understanding of their role as military supervisors and how they can contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Air Force. Senior airmen must complete ALS to assume the rank of staff sergeant.

The John L. Levitow Award is the highest possible award given in professional military education. It is based upon all summative objective, performance evaluation and leadership points. The award recipient is not eligible to receive any other PME award.

The Commandant Award denotes excellence as a leader and is presented to the person who demonstrated superior leadership as identified by their peers and the ALS staff.

The Academic Achievement Award is given to the student who demonstrated academic excellence in all summative objective and performance evaluations.
