The 17th Training Wing hosted the Make Goodfellow Great Trucktoberfest at the parade grounds, Oct. 21.

The event hosted various food truck vendors from San Angelo and aimed to get individuals interested in joining one of Goodfellow’s clubs.

“These are clubs developed by our Goodfellow community,” said Shandy Scott, 17th Force Support Squadron event coordinator manager. “Most of our population here at Goodfellow are very young military members … and they need something to do outside of their school to build morale and to build comradery.”

Goodfellow members started clubs for various interests such as disk golf, video game design, hunting and more to help build morale and comradery.

Airman 1st Class Anthony Kisiday, 17th Communications Squadron network operations technician, took building comradery and morale a step further and included Angelo State University’s rugby team into Trucktoberfest.

Brian Signorelli, Angelo State University Flying Rams rugby team vice captain, said that Kisiday is working hard to expand rugby in West Texas, and that he is glad that ASU and Goodfellow get to come together and play.
