GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --
Airman Jordan Coomber, 312th Training Squadron student, is the Goodfellow Student of the Month Spotlight for December, a series highlighting exceptional Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines.
17th Training Wing Public Affairs: What led you to join the military?
Coomber: I wanted to become a firefighter back home, and also serve my country. This was by far the best way to do that. Get the best training I possibly could and to serve.
What has been the most impactful moment in your career so far?
Getting honor graduate from basic training. My parents had no idea I was being awarded it, so when I was brought up to the front, and I could see their faces, it was the best.
What are your hobbies?
Sports, mostly. I play volleyball with a group that goes down to Mexico.
What do you want to accomplish during your time here at Goodfellow Air Force Base?
Graduate honor grad.
Is there any advice or anything extra you would like to share?
