Airman 1st Class Craig Irvin, 315th Training Squadron student, is the Goodfellow Student of the Month Spotlight for December, a series highlighting exceptional Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines.

17th Training Wing Public Affairs: What led you to join the military?
Irvin: My grandparents were in the military and my brother is a Marine. I was also in the junior ROTC in high school and I really liked the instructors. I also wanted to serve my country.

What has been the most impactful moment in your career so far?
So far, Basic Military Training graduation. Doing that as a flight with 50 other guys was a pretty special moment.

What are your hobbies?
I like to play sports as much as possible, especially football and basketball. I fish. I also like to volunteer around base.

What do you want to accomplish during your time here at Goodfellow Air Force Base?
I want to graduate. My goal is to get the highest GPA in my class, which I achieved. I’m also trying to make sure that everyone in my class graduates on time.
