GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --
The 17th Services Division's Mathis Fitness Center staff is scheduled to hold a fitness competitions in April called Transformers.
Transformers is a competition along the lines of the popular tv-show, "The Biggest Loser," said Michelle Ammon, Goodfellow Air Force Base sports director.
The competition is scheduled to kick off April 1 and registration will only go through April 7. It is a quarterly event and will run through the month of June. There will be two main categories for the fitness competition:
1) Body fat percentage lost
2) Lean muscle mass gained
According to Mrs. Ammon, the Mathis Fitness Center Staff will take before and after shots for participants wishing to have them taken.
"Units can support the participants from their squadrons. This can be a great opportunity for squadrons to build espirit-de-corp and unit morale. However as our primary goal is to help as many people as possible live healthier more physically-active life style this way we can help ensure that our servicemen and women stay 'Fit to fight,'" concluded Mrs. Ammon.
