Goodfellow responds to Wildcat fire
COKE COUNTY, Texas -- Two Louis F. Garland Fire Academy instructors head back to Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, in a P-19 after pulling a 12-hour night shift battling part of the Wildcat fire April 19 off of U.S. Highway 277. Five P-19s from the academy, each holding 1,000 gallons of water, have been used to battle the Wildcat blaze which has burned more than 150,000 acres so far. Eight academy instructors and two Goodfellow firefighters have teamed up with hundreds of surrounding firefighters to keep the fire from taking lives and homes. (U.S. Air Force photos/Connie Hempel)
