Goodfellow prepares for flu season
GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 17th Medical Operations Squadron visited the headquarters building Sept. 14, to provide flu vaccines as part of a early kick off for the 2010 flu season, which runs Oct. through March 2011. The FluMist is a live, but weakened, influenza virus that is sprayed into the nostrils as opposed to the flu shot, a dead virus, that is injected into the muscle.
