Block party rocks!
Hard Core rock band “Pleasant Downfall” from San Antonio, Texas, performed July 28 inside the Event Center at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. Pleasant Downfall was one of six bands that performed during the block party hosted by the 17th Services Division. The bands were forced to play inside the center due to rain. “The music was cool; it was right up my alley,” said Airman Brandon Hess, a technical school student with the 312th Training Squadron. “Yeah, the music was my favorite part too. Pleasant Downfall rocked,” added Airman 1st Class Chris Lucas, another 312 TRS student attending the block party with Airman Hess. Kelley Kazura, Goodfellow Event Center director, said “We (the center staff) try to mix up the programs we offer for our base population; this is just one of many outstanding events the entire Services Division offers on a regular basis. Those who attended certainly had a great time.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Luis Loza Gutierrez)
