Goodfellow's new chapel officially opens
Cutting the ribbon at the grand opening of the new Goodfellow Chapel Tuesday is Col. Richard Ayres (center), 17th Training Wing commander. Colonel Ayres was joined by (from left to right) Chief Master Sgt. Frederick Ricker, 17 TRW command chief master sergeant; United States Congressman Mike Conaway; Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Kevin Cody, 17 TRW chaplain, and Army Lt. Col. Matthew Orenstein, Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District deputy commander. The ribbon cutting was the culmination of two years of construction on the new, fully-modern chapel building. Goodfellow’s new chapel is the first the Air Force has built in 16 years.
