Presidio Airmen take three trophies

According to the captain of the female run team, communication and team work were key to this win. The quarterly competition consists of a two-mile formation run with guidon at the Price Fitness Center Track. Each of the four services enters one eight-person male team and one eight-person female team. The 311/314 TRS female Airmen placed first and completed the run in 14:05 seconds. The male Airmen completed the race in 11:59 seconds coming in second behind the Marines. Teams practice three times a week running up to 7 miles up and down the steep hills of Monterey. The training paid off in a big way as one of the Airmen recently qualified for the Boston Marathon and plans to run in the upcoming Big Sur Marathon. (U.S. Air Force photo)
