Down the stretch they come
Capt. Michael O’Mara (in front), a member of the 17th Training Wing legal office, followed by hundreds of other servicemembers take part in Goodfellow Air Force Base’s first Warrior Run for 2008. The Warrior Run, more commonly referred to as ‘The Wing Run,’ is an event that takes place two to four times a year and is coordinated by the staff of the Mathis Fitness Center. The event is designed to promote good, physical fitness, espirit de corps, and boost unit morale. The run was led by Col. Merrily Madero, 17th Training Wing vice commander. Airmen from the 17th Mission Support Group, 17th Medical Group, 17th Training Group and the Goodfellow NCO Academy all took part in the run. Soldiers from the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion, Sailors from the Center for Information Dominance and Marines from the Marine Corps Detachment also took part in the 2.2 mile run.
