A thankful visit
Master Sgt. Anthony Fleming, 17th Security Forces, introduces himsefl to 85-year-old Jimmy Burt, a World War II veteran, during a visit to patients at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas. Mr. Burt served in the Air Force at the time it was known as the Army Air Corps, and was assigned to the 559th Bomb Squadron under the 387th Bomb Group. He became a prisoner of war after the plane in which he was a crew member was shot down over Belgium. Five members of Mr. Burts crew lost their lives over Belgium.
