Halbardier Honnor
U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr Christopher M. Allen, Navy Center for Information Dominance Detachment Officer in Charge, accepts a resolution from the Texas House of Legislature at the McNease Convention Center, Texas, June 8, 2015. The resolution recognizes the heroic actions Petty Officer Halbardier performed on June 8, 1967, during the attack on the USS Liberty. Halbardier, critical in fixing communications and calling for aid, was awarded the Silver Star medal and Purple Heart medal. Halbardier is a San Angelo native.
