Goodfellow Remembers
The portraits of 343 firefighters who laid down their lives for others during the tragic events of 9/11 displayed during the Firefighter Remembrance Ceremony held at the Department of Defense Louis F. Garland Fire Academy at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 11, 2019. Of the nearly 3,000 victims killed in the collapse, 343 were firefighters, 37 were Port Authority Police Officers, 23 were New York City Police Officers, 8 were emergency medical technicians and 1 patrolman from the New York Fire Patrol.
