Goodfellow Remembers
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Alec Shiever, 312th Training Squadron instructor, rings a bell five times, three times in a row to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the events of 9/11 at the Firefighter Remembrance Ceremony in the Department of Defense Louis F. Garland Fire Academy on Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 11, 2019. It is a firefighter tradition to ring a bell to symbolize work is done and firefighters will be returning to quarters or to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty.
