    Experimental Air Force Firefighting Vehicle

  • History of the 1972 Telesquirt

An experiment in Air Force firefighting, this one-of-a-kind vehicle combined a ladder and snorkel with a P-12 fire truck. Although the Air Force chose not to adopt the telesquirt concept, this experimental vehicle nonetheless served the fire department at Robbins AFB, Georgia from 1972 until the early 1990s. On exhibit at Goodfellow since restoration in 2003, the vehicle is part of the historic firefighting vehicles on display at Goodfellow Air Force Base.
