    The RQ-1K Predator is a medium altitude, long-endurance, first-generation unmanned aircraft system initially used for reconnaissance and surveillance. Re-designated the MQ-1 and given interdiction and armed reconnaissance roles.

  • History of Goodfellow's RQ-1K Predator

    An early production model, the Predator on display at Goodfellow entered the Air Force inventory in 1997 and was used in Operation Allied Force over Kosovo in 1999 - four years after the first RQ-1K Predator saw service over Bosnia in 1995. One of its operators, SrA Andrew Reindl, was later assigned as an instructor in Goodfellow's imagery analysis course.
