WELCOME TO GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE

Welcome to Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, a joint training center of excellence and home to the 17th Training Wing.

San Angelo is home to roughly 100,000 people and boasts the San Angelo Fine Arts Museum, San Angelo State Park, Lake Nasworthy and historic Fort Concho amongst its attractions. Each year, San Angelo hosts the 4th largest rodeo in the nation, the San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo. Goodfellow and San Angelo enjoy a fantastic relationship leading the Air Force in community partnerships.

Goodfellow began as a pilot training base during World War II. Today, it is responsible for training exceptional intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance and fire protection professionals for America and her allies. Goodfellow has led the way since the 1960s with joint service training and hosts every armed service on base.

Below you will find a two buttons each leading you to a tailored page with valuable information to make your move here to San Angelo easier. From reporting instructions for students, to housing information for both, as well as family services and medical care, you will find the information here, as well as by reaching out to our Military and Family Readiness Center.

It is my pleasure to welcome you and your family to Goodfellow. I look forward to working with you as we strive to revolutionize and shape the future of the Department of Defense by training, transforming, and empowering joint and coalition warriors.
