Colonel ANGELINA MAGUINNESS

Colonel Angelina M. “PINT” Maguinness commands the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. A joint center of excellence, Goodfellow is the home for the Department of Defense Fire Academy and multi-service intelligence technical training. The wing is responsible for training more than 14,000 firefighting and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance warriors annually for the United States Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force, Coast Guard and other government agencies and allied nations. In addition to Goodfellow, Colonel Maguinness has command responsibility for four geographically separated units in California, Arizona, Florida, and Virginia. She manages property, equipment, supplies and contracts in excess of $1.5 billion and an annual operating budget exceeding $288 million. Colonel Maguinness also provides support to Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Space Force on-base units, as well as seven other partner organizations and the Angelo State University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program.

Previously, Colonel Maguinness served as the Deputy Director for Operations (A38), Joint Forces Headquarters-Cyber (Air Force), 16th Air Force (Air Forces Cyber), Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, Texas. She was responsible for leading planning efforts to enable Air Forces Cyber component operations on behalf of the Department of Defense, United States Cyber Command, geographic combatant commanders and the United States Air Force, in support of national command authority priorities.

Colonel Maguinness graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science, and commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1999. As a career Intelligence Officer, she has led in a variety of analysis, unit-level flying operations, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, targeting, training, joint and command positions at the squadron, group, Numbered Air Force, Joint Task Force, Combatant Command and Joint Staff levels. Additionally, she is a graduate of both the United States Air Force Weapons School and the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.

Colonel Maguinness deployed numerous times in support of Operations JOINT FORGE, SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, ODYSSEY DAWN and ENDURING FREEDOM to conduct operations in the Balkans, Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. She supported air operations; special operations ground forces; target analysis, execution and post-strike assessment; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
