GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

The 17th Training Group held their change of command ceremony July 27, on the parade field.

The 17th TRG welcomed their incoming commander, Col. Thomas Coakley, and thanked Col. Alex Ganster, 17th TRG outgoing commander, for his dedication hard work during his time at Goodfellow.

The presiding officer, Col. Ricky Mills, 17th Training Wing commander, thanked Ganster for his contributions to Goodfellow’s mission to train, develop and inspire exceptional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and fire protection professionals for America and her allies.

The 17th TRG oversees the 17th Training Support Squadron, the 316th Training Squadron, the 315th Training Squadron and the 312th Training Squadron.
