GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

The 17th Comptroller Squadron conducted their change of command ceremony here at the event center June 18.

The 17th CPTS welcomed their incoming commander, Maj. Kara Taylor, and thanked 17th CPTS outgoing commander, Maj. Nelson Mitchell, for his hard work and dedication.

The 17th CPTS commander works as the advisor to wing, group and squadron commanders on all financial matters. They assist with planning, programming, executing operation, maintenance, and investment appropriations, which ensure the Department of Defense intelligence and firefighter technical training is supported. The 17th CPTS focuses on delivering military and civilian pay, and travel expenses to over 20,000 permanent party, students, dependents, civilian and retired personnel.
