When will the library or the gym open?
Fitness services have reopened for active duty! We have brought gym equipment outside to keep our members fit to fight. Continue to stay up to date on the Goodfellow website. We have a chart that updates when new facilities become available.
Can retirees, veterans, and their dependents use the base gas station?
Wednesday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., retirees, veterans, and their dependents can access the gas station.
Will restrictions be lifted before the 4th of July?
COVID-19 is impossible to predict, however, it is likely that we will have additional services open before 4th of July. Keep our risk levels low by following social distancing and other CDC guidance.
Are Airmen who are being deployed or moved overseas going to be held at Goodfellow or will they be able to come home while they wait?
The restriction of movement prevents Airmen from taking non-local leave until June 30.
Is there an update on the travel ban?
As of now the 50-mile radius is still in effect for all active duty members.
When will “non-essential” civilian employees return to base?
As we start restoring services, keep in contact with your leadership. You will be notified of any updates to our current status.
For those of us leaving Goodfellow, are we allowed to go in town or will we be taken to the airport directly?
Talk to your leadership for guidance. However, it is safest to have as little exposure as possible between Goodfellow and your gaining base.
Why is Goodfellow requiring masks?
The CDC recommends masks and the Air Force is following their guidance.
