GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas-- Senior Airman Stephen Rivera, 17th Security Forces Squadron, and a Military Working Dog check vehicles for possible explosive devices during a base-wide training exercise, March 29, 2011. The defenders earned the Air Force's 2010 Outstanding Small Security Forces Unit of the Year, and received the Air Education and Training Command 2010 Verne Orr Award, which now competes at Air Force-level. Part of the squadron’s award can be attributed to community relations events such as MWD demonstrations.
